When George Osborne announced that schools must become academies by 2020, teachers and school leaders were vocal in their concerns. Their worries ranged from the impact on students and staff through to the pressures of legal and financial decision making.
Having worked within the education sector for more than two decades, in both schools and academies, I understand the concerns of those teachers who are facing huge changes and believe that PBR Education can help. We work closely with educational establishments to ensure that teachers and school leaders have the support they need to ensure their students get the best possible experience form their time in education.
Let me tell you a little about myself, my story and how PBR Education came to be…
I started my career teaching Modern Foreign Languages, a job I found extremely satisfying. In 2002, I moved to Consett Community Sports College where I became Deputy Head. It was in this position that I found my passion for enabling and empowering my colleagues. After 10 years at Consett Community Sports College, I was offered the opportunity to follow a different career path and decided to launch PBR Coaching, a company that offers performance coaching and professional development to private and public sector organisations.
Four successful years in business coupled with recent changes to local government made me think about returning to my educational roots. I launched PBR Education as a means of supplying strategic services to schools and academy chains in the North East and beyond across the rest of the UK.
Through PBR Education, I have developed a suite of services to help meet the growing need for business support in schools. These services include school development, human resources, services and facilities management and education policy. For more information on any of our services, you can check our website, give us a call on 01207 570 770 or request a call back – we’d love to hear from you and are more than happy to help answer any questions you may have.
Ultimately, the purpose of PBR Education is to help schools and academy chains better teach, assess and improve, so that in developing and supporting the people behind every level of educational establishments, they are equipped to provide a better service to their students and other stakeholders – improving performance and outcomes.
It is great to see that, despite being a fairly new company, interest in PBR Education is already growing with a number of promising meetings with schools and academies across the UK. We’re excited to be a part of the changing landscape of UK education and feel that schools and academies in the North East have a very bright future.
With best wishes,
We’re also running a series of subject-specific networking events and ‘hot topic’ training days from our office in Team Valley during April. Why not check out our website www.pbreducation.co.uk for more information?
